The Grand Hyatt Athens was the place to be on 28 October to celebrate global excellence in hospitality and travel. The World Luxury Awards represent the pinnacle of achievement in the luxury hotel, spa and restaurant industries, offering international recognition as voted by guests, travellers and industry players. During a four-week period each year, over 300,000 international travellers vote to select the winners. Luxury hotels, spas and restaurants have the opportunity to participate in the World Luxury Awards 2023 by entering categories that showcase their unique selling points and destinations.
We joined top hoteliers, restauranteurs, spa and health retreat owners from all over the world for the Oscars of tourism – the World Luxury Awards – and returned with the best news: during the glamorous gala ceremony, Ayurveda Resort Mandira was presented with not one but two global awards!

More than 2,000 hotels from 150 countries in over 90 categories were nominated for the World Luxury Awards. Over 700,000 online votes were cast over four weeks.
The awards are given on a national, cross-national, continental and global level and on the basis of several factors. World Luxury Marketing Director Michael Hunter-Smith explains that it’s brand, location and, above all, guest satisfaction that play major roles in making the selections. A well thought-out concept and high quality implementation are to the fore. The selection of winners includes votes by guests, international travel specialists, experts and major tourism industry players.
Travellers today increasingly value experiences over possessions and are willing to invest in unique, authentic, and immersive travel experiences. It is with the unwavering commitment of dedicated staff that guests can enjoy this.
