Focusing on the person
There are as many therapeutic approaches as there are different health issues. At the Ayurveda Resort Mandira, the combination of Ayurvedic diagnostics and treatments with conventional and alternative medicine ensures that each guest receives their own, personalised therapy programme. ‘We feel that it’s important to keep checking in with the patient or guest; to listen and then adjust the therapy accordingly. This ensures that the solution is always as individual as the patient,’ explains Dr Zuleger.

Conventional and alternative medical treatments
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment method whereby therapeutic effects are achieved by inserting needles into specific parts of the body.
A particularly gentle, pain-free method used to treat conditions such as chronic wounds, orthopaedic problems, jumper’s knee, golf and tennis elbow, and calcareous shoulder. It improves wound healing, relieves pain, and reduces inflammation and swelling.
Medical studies endorse the development of Holistic Ayurveda as therapy
The University of Graz is conducting studies on the medical effects of Panchakarma at the Ayurveda Resort Mandira. Additional studies in the field of sports and regenerative medicine are planned. These synergies result in scientifically sound applications and recipes, allowing traditional forms of Ayurvedic therapy to be developed for a tailor-made and needs-oriented approach suitable for the western world and its lifestyle diseases.
