Conventional and alternative medical treatments

The vitamin C infusions administered during this treatment are particularly useful in the treatment of fibromyalgia, to boost the immune system, and for menopausal symptoms. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant that scavenges free radicals. Vitamin C is better metabolised and stays in the body longer when delivered directly into the bloodstream by means of an infusion.
Mesotherapy is a form of neural therapy in which tiny amounts of a blend of conventional and herbal medications is administered to the location of discomfort in the connective tissue. The medication blend is precisely tailored to each patient and their symptoms. This method is used to treat pain, histamine intolerance, psychological issues, cardiac rhythm disorders and menopausal symptoms.
Infiltration therapy involves injecting therapeutic substances directly into painful joints. This kind of injection can be used on any joint, but is most commonly administered to treat hip, knee, or shoulder issues.
A physical method that is mainly in the treatment of pain and mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. It is also highly effective when applied to stress-related joint pain and used to help patients with burnout.
Osteopathy is a non-invasive manual therapy used to treat acute and/or chronic pain caused by dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. The aim is to set the body’s own regulatory mechanisms in motion to bring about self-healing.
Kinesiology tape, also known as a physio or muscle tape, is an elastic cotton strip with an acrylic adhesive that is used to treat pain resulting from injuries or inflamed muscles, ligaments or joints, or to stabilise joints without restricting mobility.

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment method whereby therapeutic effects are achieved by inserting needles into specific parts of the body.

A particularly gentle, pain-free method used to treat conditions such as chronic wounds, orthopaedic problems, jumper’s knee, golf and tennis elbow, and calcareous shoulder. It improves wound healing, relieves pain, and reduces inflammation and swelling.

Shock wave therapy uses high-energy acoustic waves to penetrate tissue to generate movement and heat. The energy promotes regeneration and reparative processes that activate the body’s own pain relief system and stimulate the self-healing process.
Phytotherapy is a science-based medical practice that makes use of plant-derived medication. Dr Verena Zuleger’s prescriptions follow the same approach as Holistic Ayurveda in that she only recommends herbs and plants that have been grown locally.
