The principle: Balancing Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Ayurveda teaches that every person is comprised of a specific mixture of life forces, or Doshas. The ratio of Vata, Pitta and Kapha is determined at birth and shapes our individual physical, mental and spiritual qualities. When the Doshas are out of kilter, the result is illness. Therefore, the aim of Ayurvedic treatments, programmes and lifestyle adjustments is a return to Dosha balance to bring about holistic health, wellbeing and balance on all levels – physical, mental and spiritual.

Vata

Slender, flexible and always in motion, Vata types are quick thinkers who forget easily, and often react anxiously.

Pitta

With a medium build, agility and a talent for decision-making, Pitta types are born leaders but easily lose their composure and are prone to anger.

Kapha

Heavyset and serene, Kapha types maintain emotional stability in stressful situations. They are patient and mild-mannered.

The method: Pulse diagnosis to determine Dosha

Our experienced Ayurvedic specialists use pulse diagnosis to establish the Vata, Pitta and Kapha ratio and thus the health of a person’s body, mind and spirit. Dosha disturbances help the practitioner determine a person’s wellbeing; as does a detailed examination of dietary habits, digestion, sleep patterns and general way of life.

The therapy: Individual and tailor-made

The information provided by the pulse diagnosis helps us arrive at a person’s constitutional type. This diagnosis forms the basis for the treatment plan our Ayurvedic specialists and therapists draw up for each guest. This also includes nutrition, exercise and alternative and conventional medical treatments, as well as numerous tips for you to try at home!
