Do you ever feel like your body is out of balance? Like you’re unable to tap into your energy reserves despite eating healthy and exercising daily?
In Ayurveda, various energy principles are recognized. Alongside the universal life force known as Ojas, there are also Tejas and Prana. These energies are essential for our metabolism, digestion, and both physical and mental strength. When these energies are excessively depleted in daily life, it can lead to severe physical exhaustion from an Ayurvedic perspective.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. With our helpful tips from Ayurveda, we’ll show you how to easily boost your energy levels in everyday life.
Tip 1: Create Healthy Routines for More Energy!
Regularity and routine play a significant role in Ayurveda. Especially when you feel exhausted and lethargic, a well-structured day can help you regain balance. This includes gentle, regular exercise, as well as fixed meal and sleep times.
Start your day with a revitalizing morning yoga session to energize your body and mind.
A contrast shower, alternating between warm and cold water, is also great for your energy levels. It stimulates circulation and instantly banishes fatigue.
Your largest meal of the day should be lunch, ideally consumed between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM when your digestive fire (Agni) is at its peak.

Tip 2: Ensure Adequate Physical Activity
Regular exercise can reduce stress, activate your metabolism, and help your body eliminate toxins and metabolic waste products. It also supports restful sleep at night.
Exercise doesn’t have to mean intense yoga or high-performance sports. Even a 15-minute walk can make a big difference. Fresh air increases oxygen levels in the brain, making your mind clearer and more alert.
Focus on gentle activities that challenge you without overstraining. Intense workouts can also cause stress and deplete your energy, especially if you don’t allow for adequate recovery time.
Tip 3: Prioritize Rest and Regeneration
In a hectic day-to-day life, it’s crucial to allow yourself regular periods of rest. Sufficient sleep is a key factor for maintaining strength and energy.
However, don’t limit rest to nighttime—create moments of peace during the day as well! Dedicate at least 30 minutes daily to yourself and whatever nurtures your well-being. Whether it’s meditating, lounging in a sun chair with your favorite book, or consciously listening to your favorite music, make sure your phone is on silent during this time.
You can also recharge with a soothing massage. Ayurvedic massage techniques, like those we use in our therapies, not only help you relax but can also specifically unblock energy flow.
Tip 4: Opt for a Balanced Diet Tailored to Your Type
To provide your body and mind with energy, it’s important to choose the right foods. Not every seemingly healthy food will benefit you or provide energy without straining your body.
From an Ayurvedic perspective, your food choices should be tailored to your Dosha balance and ideally have a harmonizing effect. If this balance is disturbed, it can lead to fatigue, lack of motivation, and even weight gain.
In our Ayurveda detox programs, we first determine your specific type before tailoring your treatment and diet accordingly.

Tip 5: Support Your Digestion
The stronger our Agni, the better we can absorb energy from food. Ayurvedic herbal blends and spices like ginger, cardamom, and turmeric not only aid digestion but can also stimulate detoxification.
For our Ayurveda detox programs, we’ve developed a special herbal elixir made from local herbs, whose effects are similar to traditional Chyawanprash. During our detox programs, you’ll experience deep cleansing and gain new energy for everyday life. The knowledge of your personalized diet will also help you maintain this energy long-term and support healthy weight loss.
