European Ayurveda®: inconceivable without Yoga and meditation

A Yoga retreat is perfect for harmonising mind, body and soul as well as balancing the breath and somatic functions. The relaxing practice of Yoga unites external and internal perception, while meditation leads to a clearer view of creation and our own existence. Get away from externalities and negative energies and move towards your true self.

You are your thoughts. Alongside enhancing physical strength, flexibility and stamina, a Yoga retreat addresses issues of the mind. Being in the moment; enjoying life in full awareness; restoring balance to body, mind and spirit: these objectives are major challenges in our stressful, result-centred society. However, we can meet them head-on with Yoga and meditation, mainstays of European Ayurveda®. You are your thoughts!

Purify your spirit on a Yoga retreat. Over time, negative emotions such as anger, sadness, jealousy or feelings of inferiority have a toxic effect on both spirit and body. European Ayurveda® addresses all aspects of health: physical cleansing is accompanied by the purification of mind and spirit through daily Yoga, mind detox and meditation sessions – initiating change at every level.

Centring Yoga and meditation

Yoga retreats unfold their effectiveness by several means:

  • Asanas: Physical postures
  • Pranayama: Breathing exercises
  • Savasana: Relaxation
  • Vegetarian Ayurvedic nutrition
  • Meditation and positive thinking

The Asanas promote inner calm and mindfulness, helping you to focus on the inner self while holding physical poses. The mind settles and your muscles, joints and spine are stretched and strengthened, resulting in greater ease and flexibility. All of this also has a positive effect on the digestive, excretory and hormonal systems. Pranayama is the practice of breath control which helps you collect and strengthen the Prana, or life force. These exercises release blockages, and help us feel more in charge of our own lives.
